Singapore and 65 other countries have introduced global digital trade rules to ensure your credit card details travel the world faster than a local influencer’s apology video.

Minister Grace Fu confirmed the new Agreement on Electronic Commerce will "enhance trust," which is diplomatic code for making sure your crippling Shopee addiction is now sanctioned by international law.

The pact prohibits customs duties on digital transmissions, finally allowing Singaporeans to download terabytes of useless data without the government demanding a piece of the pie.
