Sinkies Thrilled To Pay $13 For Single Slice Of Bread

Singaporeans are celebrating a new era of culinary progress as neighbourhood bakeries officially replace $1.20 hotdog buns with $13.00 slices of "artisan" toast.

One visionary baker, a former IT manager, now invites residents to pay for the privilege of toasting their own bread using machines more expensive than their living room sofa.

"Last time my bread got sugar on top only, now got 'Wasabi Tobiko' and cost more than my Grab ride," remarked one local auntie while weeping into her sourdough.
