Singaporean Man Shocked To Discover Movies Existed Before The Internet
Lester Thean, a local man who believed entertainment was physically impossible before the invention of the cloud, recently discovered a primitive "CD shop" in Marsiling.
The establishment, South Win Laser, functions as a living museum for the dark ages when Singaporeans were forced to leave their homes to acquire a single movie on a shiny, fragile coaster.
Lester reportedly spent hours marvelling at the plastic relics, wondering how a society survived without an algorithm telling them what to watch.
"Siao liao, the box so big but only got one movie inside," Lester said while poking a dusty VCD of The Little Mermaid.
"My nephew ask me if this is a giant sim card for a dinosaur phone, I don't know how to explain."
Shop owner Ang Lay Teck remains the sole provider for the three remaining Singaporeans who still own a disc player with a functional tray.
