Singaporean Man Adopts Own Father For $3,000 Tax Relief
The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) has lauded local citizen Tan Ah Kow for his "innovative financial prudence" after he successfully claimed the Parent Relief by legally adopting his own biological father.
To maximise his rebates, the 34-year-old also reportedly divorced his wife to marry his domestic helper, qualifying for the Foreign Domestic Worker Levy Relief while maintaining a "strictly platonic, tax-efficient" household.
"Every cent count, brother," Tan explained while attempting to breastfeed a neighbour’s toddler to unlock the Working Mother’s Child Relief.
"Government say must be pro-family, so I make my family as complicated as possible for the IRAS website until the system hang, then they just give me money to go away."
Experts suggest that by 2025, the average Singaporean will be legally classified as a "handicapped, multi-parenting, full-time reservist" just to avoid paying for the Prime Minister's next pay raise.
"I even tell my ah gong to act blur so I can get Parent Disability Relief," Tan added.
"Tax relief is the only way to feel like the Gahmen not taking my kidney for fun."
