Singapore To Combat Aging Crisis By Making Dying Look Fucking Fabulous

As Singapore hurtles toward becoming a "super-aged" society in 2026, the DesignSingapore Council has pivoted its strategy to ensure your final breath is taken in a "biophilic departure lounge."

Executive Director Dawn Lim noted that while caregiving, she found solace in the hospice’s "therapeutic seating," proving that watching a loved one decline is much easier when the lighting is professionally curated.

“Wah, the garden so chio, I almost forget my father going to check out liao,” said local caregiver, See Baey Sian.

“Last time dying very depressing, but now got koi pond and ‘integrated care hub,’ I feel like I’m at a staycation instead of a funeral,” he added while Instagramming a palliative fern.
