Singapore Man Fired Posthumously For Unauthorised Moonlighting In Afterlife
The Ministry of Manpower has issued a stern warning after a local junior analyst was caught violating his non-compete clause by dying during office hours.
While Tan Ah Kow’s heart technically stopped at 3 PM, HR officials were horrified to discover he was simultaneously earning extra income by renting his vacant corpse out as a professional paperweight.
"He think he very smart ah, try to double-job when he supposed to be giving his 200% to our company only," said HR Director Cheryl Lim.
"Now he dead already still want to claim medical benefits? Siao ah, we sue his estate for breach of contract until his grandchildren also need to sell kidney."
The government reminds citizens that moonlighting is a "privilege" that should never interfere with their primary duty of being exploited by a single MNC.
Survival in the world's most expensive city apparently requires a 27-hour workday, preferably without the pesky inconvenience of a pulse.
