Ryde Driver Offers Free 60-Minute Kidnapping For Non-Cash Users

A local Ryde driver has pivoted his career from "frustrated driver" to "budget-tier kidnapper" after holding a passenger hostage over a $24 PayNow dispute.

The 60-year-old uncle reportedly decided that if he couldn't hold physical cash, he would simply hold a human being instead.

The hour-long ordeal gave the passenger plenty of time to contemplate why she didn't just walk or take the fucking bus.

The driver allegedly claimed he "forgot" his own phone number, a common medical side effect of being a stubborn prick who hates technology.

Police eventually arrived to confirm that PayNow does indeed work, even if the driver’s frontal lobe clearly does not.

Ryde has suspended the driver, who remains confused why "forcible confinement" isn't a billable surcharge on the app.
