HDB Explains Sinkies Simply Too Greedy For Non-Ugly Locations
The Housing Development Board has officially reminded Singaporeans that if they don’t want to be homeless, they should stop acting like they deserve to live near civilization.
Responding to a victim who failed 11 BTO applications, a boss at the agency clarified that the resident was "unreasonable" for wanting to live in a "popular location" where you don't need a passport to find a grocery store.
"Wah lao, she think she who? Every time want Bukit Merah, want Kallang," remarked one official.
"Abuden, of course cannot get lah! If she applied for a unit in the middle of a literal swamp in Lim Chu Kang, she would have gotten it years ago."
The victim eventually bought a resale flat because her BTO invitation arrived so late her unborn children had already retired.
This satire is based on a real news story.
