GV Tiong Bahru Closes; Dementia Patients Forget To Be Sad

Golden Village Tiong Bahru is pulling the plug after 32 years of providing a dark sanctuary for teenagers to dry-hump and the elderly to nap.

Management confirmed the lease ends this March, terminating the venue’s status as a "Dementia Go-To Point," to the indifference of patrons who forgot the place existed.

The closure ends an era for the landmark, which successfully pivoted from a 90s hangout to a graveyard for seniors who can't find home.

"Siao liao, now where I go when I get lost?" asked 80-year-old Auntie Bee.

"Last time can sit inside and blur like sotong, now must find another place to act stupid, CCB."
