BYD To Replace All Singaporean Marathon Runners With Electric Taxis

In a shocking pivot from banking to batteries, BYD has successfully ousted Standard Chartered to ensure the 2026 Singapore International Marathon is finally "electrified."

The Chinese automaker’s boss confirmed that all 52,000 participants will now be legally required to undergo a mandatory "lithium-ion upgrade" to prevent the usual humid-weather system failures.

Under the new BYD Marathon rules, any runner who collapses from heatstroke will no longer receive medical aid, but will instead be towed to the nearest charging station by a disgruntled private-hire driver.

"Wah lau, I thought is marathon, not car inspection leh," complained one veteran runner.
